Teaching has always been my passion.
After staying home with my own children for 10 years, I began teaching First Grade at Lovejoy Elementary in 2004. I love to see the wonder children experience when exploring their world! My dual degree is in Elementary Education and Guidance Studies. I also completed Introductory International Baccalaureate certification and GT Certification.
In 2012, I began teaching Primary GT at Puster and Lovejoy. This year I teach K-2 GT at Puster Elementary and 1st Grade GT and Kindergarten at Lovejoy. Both my children were in the GT program at Lovejoy beginning in elementary. My son, Jake, graduated from Texas A & M University and is working as an engineer for a company in Denver and my daughter recently graduated from the University of Missouri (Mizzou) studying journalism and is living and working in Brussels, Belgium.
My husband, Lou, is a recruiter and teaches tennis. We have been married 27 years. I grew up in Tyler, TX and am the youngest of six kids. In my spare time I love traveling! I've been to Europe several times and have visited South America and Africa as well. I also enjoy biking, hiking and reading but I treasure spending time with my family most of all.
