Sharee Forman

My name is Sharee Forman and I’m thrilled to get to help our kids learn to READ and LOVE READING as the Reading Intervention Specialist here at Lovejoy Elementary. I've been married to my husband Justin for 15 years and we have three kiddos. Our oldest son Tristan is a 4th grader here at Lovejoy Elementary, our daughter Kate is in 1st grade, and our youngest daughter Audrey is in preschool at Little Leopards.  We absolutely love being part of this tight-knit community.
I have an enormous passion for early literacy, specifically teaching kids how to read and feel confident as readers.  After graduating from Baylor (Sic 'em Bears) I spent four years teaching kindergarten, and three years teaching 2nd grade and GT students in grades K-6.  I would compare what I love to do to a reading “doctor” analyzing what holes students might have in their phonics instruction and specifically and systematically targeting these holes to create stronger, more confident readers!

For the past ten years,  I have had the privilege to work at home in raising my own children, but I have continued to be highly active in education and have learned more in the past ten years than perhaps in my life.  I served as a parent-teacher in a University Model School for my son’s  Kinder and First Grade years at both Lucas Christian Academy and Coram Deo Academy. I have also provided tutoring and training to fellow homeschool teachers in the areas of reading and literacy.

I truly believe God has gifted me to connect with and teach children.  I have a deep passion for literacy instruction and believe teachers have the power and purpose to make learning engaging and impactful for all students.  I also believe parents are THE expert when it comes to their children, so I see our relationship as a partnership, working together to help students achieve their very best. Please don’t ever hesitate to text, call or send me an email if you ever have any questions or concerns. It’s going to be a great year!
