Kay Sanders

This is my 29th year to teach at Lovejoy Elementary.  I have taught 2nd grade and 5th grade.  For the past 7 years I have taught computer technolgy .  This is my third year to be the Technology Instructional Specialist at Lovejoy Elementary.

I work closely with teachers to integrate technology into their curriculum.  I plan and model lessons  to  accomplish this goal. 

I help maintain the Lovejoy Elementary school web page.  Part of my responsibility is to help create and supervise the morning annoucements.  I  maintain the electronic school "bulletin board"..."the loop".  I provide technology training and support for  our staff and serve on the campus and district technology committees.

 I grew up near Ada, Oklahoma.  Attended the East Central University in Ada.  Then transfered to The University of Oklahoma.  I completed my studies at UNT in Denton. 

I  lived in Fairview for 23 years.  I now live in Allen.  I have two daughters who attended all 7 years at Lovejoy Elementary and graduated from Allen High School.  I have one spoiled cat named Pierre'.

In my spare time I love to travel.  I love historical places,  national parks and mountains.  I enjoy reading, gardening, swimming and using the computer.

I choose to become a teacher because I enjoy working with children.  I love helping children prepare for the future. Technology is the way of the future.   I enjoy watching the twinkle appear in their eyes when they achieve objectives and learn new concepts.
