Janis Jungmann

I am in my ninth year of teaching P.E. at Lovejoy Elementary. Before teaching at Lovejoy I taught and coached in middle and high school.

I am excited to be a part of the Lovejoy ISD coaching staff at both Sloan Creek MS and Lovejoy HS as an assistant coach in track and cross country.

My PE classes: Kinder, 1st, 4th, and 5th. Coach Siebman will be teaching 2nd and 3rd grade PE.

Class structure for Lovejoy PE is set up as 9 week units. Students will participate in daily exercise/stretching, integration of grammer, math, science, as well as social skills. Oh, and dancing!!

PE curriculum we use: SPARK (Sport Play and Recreation for Kids) for K-5th.

This is the 3rd year Lovejoy ISD elementary campuses will participate in the NFL's Punt, Pass and Kick Competition. Please stay tuned for more exciting news about this program! 1st-5th graders will compete in September.

My goal is for Lovejoy students=find some type of physical activity they love and they will participate in that activity for a lifetime.

I am excited about the new school year and I can't wait to see my students!!
