Sandra Dennis

I am delighted to be at Lovejoy Elementary this year as the Gate 10 Math teacher for grades 3 - 5.  This is my third year at Lovejoy, and I love what I teach.  Before joining the Lovejoy staff, I spent 4 years as a 3rd grade teacher at Boon Elementary in Allen ISD.  Prior to opening Boon in 2005, I was a gifted specialist in Plano ISD.  My main campus was Gulledge Elementary, but over the course of 9 years, I also served students at Robinson Middle School and Brinker Elementary.  I began teaching 23 years ago as a fifth grade teacher at Thomas Elementary in Plano after finishing my bachelor's and master's degrees at Baylor University.  As evidenced by my years in this profession, teaching is my passion and my joy.

My other passion is my family.  I have been married to my husband, Craig, for 14 years.  We have one son, Grant. He is a sixth grader here in Lovejoy ISD.  We spend much of our time attending soccer, tennis, and other sporting events or hanging out at home with our Yorkie, Reese.
